So I thought I'd post something since it's been 2 years, 5 months and 13 days since I did so.  Since that post I have:

Graduated

Gotten a job

Gotten engaged

So it's been a good 2 years, 5 months and 13 days.  On the work front, I am playing around with an A-10 Thunderbolt (affectionately known as the "Warthog" for it's stunningly good looks) and trying not to break it.  Well, we are trying to break it but only gradually so we can fix it while we're breaking it.  Tons of fun...

Being engaged to Jessica is the greatest.  For all of you who haven't heard the story, we went out to the Hotel Bel-Air and had a nice dinner.  Two tables away from us we saw Julie Andrews, which was great fun.  Then we went out into the garden and I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.  And she said "yes" so I was very happy!

Ok that's it for now.  Look for my next post on February 1, 2009.

So I didn't end up going to class today.  I was about to, and then Kurt came in and said "let's go shooting."  And I went with him because Java is boring to learn and shooting sounded fun.  So we drove to the valley and found out that you need a safety class before firing a gun.  Who would have thought?  Anyway we made the most of it by eating some Mongolian Barbeque and looking at digital cameras.  When we got back to UCLA we got formalized and headed over to Irvine to watch their third degree.
Fast forward through the degree since it's secret and all.  It was really cool to see six new brothers get introduced to the world that is activeness.  Afterwards we all went out to dinner at Mimi's Cafe.  Now I realize it takes a long time to make food for fifty people but that doesn't change the fact that we were all REALLY hungry.  Pam started eating the ranch dressing, and Tank almost got cannibalized we were so hungry.  But after waiting for a while and finding various ways to amuse ourselves, the food came and there was much rejoicing (::yay::)
Karaoke.  Need I say more?  Well I will anyway.  I had a great time Karaokeing with our little group.  Zai, Gabe and I stayed up late singing the night away with RJ, Stixen, Mike and Jesse.
Well, on that note (no pun intended) I'm tired and am going to bed.  Big weekend coming up what with the womens' Pac-10 tourney and all.  Good night all and go Bruins this weekend!

So...I now have a blog.  Woohoo.  Anyway, to start this off right:

Today was quite a busy day.  I woke up and went to the engineering building to meet my lab group.  We are working on an automatic whiteboard eraser, which is kind of exciting but not nearly as cool as the motorized RazorBike that another group was testing outside.  Today we got everything mostly finished with one small glitch: we couldn't get our electric motor to work.  We think it may have something to do with when we dropped it on the concrete floor, but you never know...

Anyway, after banging my head on the table a few times I went to class.  Two hours later I woke up and headed home to get dressed up, for tonight the psi chapter (well, a few of us) would go to see America's Funniest Home Videos.  I have never smiled so much in my life.  My face hurts.  And my legs, which were dangling off the little ledge I was sitting on, aren't doing much better.  But that's ok because we came away from the TV taping with lots of money including $250 from the "best dressed male" competition.  Special thanks go out to Kurt, Kurt's tux, and the Alpha Delta Pi girls from San Bernadino.

And the best thing about this week?  The women's Pac-10 tournament!  We've won seven of our last 8 and are going to take the tournament by storm (yay for more per diem!).  It will also let me spend more quality time with Jessica, whom I love more than anything on this great earth.  Good times...

Well that's pretty much the entire skinny on my life right now.  Hope everyone's staying afloat what with classes and such.

Yeah I really like that quote, it's everywhere.
